Niels’ debut grabs the moment a man sees his own flesh and blood for the first time. In our world pregnancy and having babies is usually considered a female affair. Pointing the camera the other way resulted in a moving and funny film that plays with the viewers ideas on birth in general. The male’s perspective was never seen like this before and created a big buzz in the Dutch birth industry.

The film is now being used in pregnancy courses all over the country. It reached over half a million viewers on national TV, won several audience awards as well as Best Short Documentary at the Full Frame Film Festival in 2012.
